Editorial standards
How we source, check and label what we publish.
Sourcing
Reports are written only from named, linked sources. Every factual paragraph carries a numbered citation that maps to the source list at the bottom of the article. Official and primary documents are preferred over secondary coverage; anonymous or single-source claims are labelled as such.
Evidence labels
| documented | Supported by official records, primary documents or on-the-record officials. |
| reported | Reported by credible outlets; not independently confirmed by us. |
| disputed | Credible sources give conflicting accounts. |
| unverified | A claim or rumor without corroboration. Treat with caution. |
How we check our work
Feeds from official and press sources are collected hourly, scored for relevance and grouped by story. Each report is drafted only from the sources it cites, and every claim is checked against those sources before publication; anything unsupported is held back for editor review. We do not publish quotes, numbers or names that are not in the cited sources, and we correct errors visibly.
Independence
We do not accept payment for coverage, and we are not affiliated with any government agency or advocacy organization. The site is funded in part by advertising sold and served by Google. Ads are labelled, kept separate from editorial content, and advertisers cannot buy coverage or influence what we publish.
